Dr.RakheshChandran had his Basic Medical Training in J.J.M. Medical College, Davangere, India and did his Postgraduation in Ophthalmology from Sree Sidhartha Medical College, Tumkur. Later joined at Sree Vivekandha Institute of Ophthalmology, Pavagada as Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon where he could finish more than thousands of the Anterior Segment Surgeries including Glaucoma surgeries, SICS,Phaco Emulsification techniques. He gained his Vitreoretinal Laser training from Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore.

  Now he has started a charitable eye foundation called GIVE SIGHT FOUNDATION, doing almost all surgical procedures including small incision cataract surgery, Phacoemulsification with IOL implantation, total free of cost. This foundation concentrate on conducting periodical eye camps in rural areas for detecting cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and other vasculo occlusive diseases, identifying glaucomatous population, refractive errors and nutritional deficiencies
